Oats are very good for health...Oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol, as well as they are very rich in fiber.This halwa tastes very yummy.
1 cup oats ( I used Instant Oats)
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk
4 tsps Ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp food colour
Few Cashew nuts and raisins fried in ghee
In a non-stick pan heat 2-3 tsp ghee and fry oats on low heat till they just change colour.Heat the milk and sugar in a pan and bring it to boil. Once the sugar dissolves completely add the fried oats and Stir continuously. Also add cardamom powder and the remaining ghee.Add food colour also. Stir until the mixture leaves sides of the pan. Remove from fire and garnish with fried cashews and raisins. Serve warm.
